A Word from the Founder
I started Youtu Travel in October 2024. I had just begun my freshman year and didn’t even have a name for it yet. No experience. No connections. Just a vague idea.
The days were quiet. Too quiet. I kept preparing, kept waiting. Not a single booking. I started to wonder if this was ever going to work.
Six months later, my first order finally came. Thirty dollars.
Then one winter night in 2025, a guest reached out to me at 2am. Severe food poisoning. She had no idea what to do. Her foreign phone number couldn’t register on any delivery app, so she couldn’t order medicine. I placed the order for her. Thirty minutes later, the medicine arrived at her hotel.
I didn’t think of it as a “business moment.” It was just someone who needed help, and I happened to be able to help.
Those two things—the six-month wait and that 2am delivery—defined how I understand this company. Travel isn’t just an itinerary. It’s about being there when things go wrong. It’s about knowing that in a country this vast and unfamiliar, your guests need someone they can trust—not just to drive them from place to place, but to truly have their back.
